Chapter 194 397% The chaos at the airport was still raging. As they passed through the corridor, Ella could hear gunfire in the distance, and her body tensed up. Fear filled her eyes.
Lorenzo glanced back and saw her stumbling, her legs shaking as she struggled to keep her balance. “Are you scared?" he asked.
Ella nodded vigorously. "Yeah, I'm scared." She enjoyed action movies, but this was nothing like the thrills on screen. In a movie, excitement was fun, but here, one wrong move could mean death.
Keeping a meter apart, she clung to Lorenzo, not daring to let go for even a second.
He turned and continued walking, and El hurried to catch up, but his long legs made it tough for her to keep pace. Hearing her labored breaths, Lorenzo slowed down just a bit.
Suddenly, around a corner, two masked figures appeared, and the moment their eyes met, they reacted instantly, raising their weapons to take aim.
Lorenzo's gaze sharpened. He pulled Ella tightly against him just as gunshots rang out, and the two attackers fell to the ground.
Everything happened so fast. Ella's pupils dilated in shock as she clung to Lorenzo's neck, her legs instinctively jumping up to wrap around his waist.
Lorenzo backed them against a cold wall, pinning her there. Feeling the weight of her body, he said coldly, "Get down." "No, I don't want to! I want to go home!" Ella shook her head wildly, tightly shutting her eyes and refusing to let go.
Lorenzo's sharp scent mixed with the threat surrounding him engulfed her.
Ella could only pray to God that she would make it through this alive today.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtLorenzo reached for her, trying to pull her off, but the moment he grabbed her, she collapsed to the ground, her legs giving out from sheer fear.
"I need to get back to Stefi! I need to get back to the plane!" Ella cried out.
Just a moment ago, she hadn't wanted to be a burden, but now she was terrified and had completely lost her composure. All she could think was that being with Stephanie was the safest place to be.
Lorenzo looked down at the trembling Ella on the ground, feeling a bit exasperated. He hoisted her up and tucked her against his side, turning to leave.
Ella felt like a rag doll as he carried her, swaying slightly and feeling dizzy, too scared to say a word. At this moment, the man holding her felt more dangerous than any of the attackers.
Macro hadn't planned to leave. If Elliot hadn't warned him, he would've ended up getting punched again.
Stephanie was nestled in Sebastian's arms, looking up at him. "What's got you so mad?" she asked.
She looked at his gloomy face and had no idea what had set him off, especially since they had been getting cozy since their return from Paginara.
1/4 09:36 Thu, 20 Mar Chapter 194 Sebastian tightened his grip on her delicate chin and leaned in for a kiss. In between soft words, there was a hint of firmness in his tone. "Next time, don't stare at someone for more than five seconds" Stephanie's thoughts raced, "Who did I just look at? Ella? "Does Ella count?" she asked.
Sebastian replied with a decisive "Yes," Stephanie blinked in disbelief.
As the plane took off.
Stephanie felt weak in Sebastian's embrace. "Are we really not waiting for Lorenzo?" She was worried about whether Ella had made it out of the airport safely. Who had the audacity to chere and cause chaos, especially at an airport? Sebastian scooped her up and carried her back to the lounge. "You need to get ssleep. Once we're at Keris Isle, your schedule might be all over the place.
'Sleep again?' Stephanie thought to herself.
Sebastian began to peel off his suit jacket, followed by his shirt, and then his pants. Stephanie felt her mouth twitch, but she stayed still.
When he turned and noticed her remains unmoving, a sly smile crept onto his face, making Stephanie's heart race.
Just as Sebastian reached out to unbutton her shirt, she grabbed his wrist firmly. "I don't want to sleep right now." She remembered how much she had been through on the way back. Sure, she felt exhausted, but she couldn't let that lead to sleeping with him.
Stephanie always felt like her idea of sleeping and Sebastian's were totally different things.
His hand paused at the button of her tank top. Seeing she wasn't willing to let go, he lowered his gaze and asked, "Then what do you want to do?" 'See? We're clearly not on the spage,' she thought.
Sebastian chuckled softly. "Con, just sleep." "I don't believe you," said Stephanie.
Sebastian raised an eyebrow. "Oh?" Stephanie glanced at him with feigned weakness. “I can sleep, but I want to sleep alone." The mischief in Sebastian's smile deepened.
In a hurry, Stephanie hopped into bed and buried herself under the covers, but just a moment later, Sebastian climbed in after her and pulled her into his embrace.
Outside, Macro heard the sounds coming from the lounge and said, “Sebastian is really taking his sweet twaiting for Stephanie to grow up. I can understand it, really." Elliot shot him a look. "If you get it, then keep your mouth shut.” "I'm just saying when we get back to Fiorenza, Stephanie might be in for a tough time." Elliot wondered, 'Is he talking about Ms. Lucano?" 2/4 Chapter 194 He glanced at Macro. "Ms. Lucano is already making preparations for the wedding." Macro looked shocked. "What? Wedding preparations? Ms. Lucano? She's actually accepting it? Isn't she going to try to stop Sebastian and Stephanie?" 'Well, I guess blood runs deeper than water. It makes sense that they'd ctogether so easily, Macro thought.
After an eight-hour flight, they finally arrived at Keris Isle. Having been cooped up in the plane for so long, Stephanie could feel her ears ringing. She desperately needed to get off that plane and breathe in sfresh air.
But here she was, in Sebastian's arms, with no strength to move. She pouted. “You are such a bad guy." Honestly, she couldn't wrap her head around how he knew so many tricks when he used to have no women around him.
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmAs he helped her change clothes, Sebastian smirked and said, "Yeah, I'm a bad guy." "I'm so tired," Stephanie, sighed, feeling limp as she let him dress her.
Sebastian found her a white T-shirt to wear, paired with a pink skirt. Looking at the puffy pink skirt, she grumbled, "I'm not a little kid anymore." Especially with that white T-shirt, which had a childish Peter Pan collar. And the woven fisherman hat sitting aside made her feel like a little girl all over again.
Sebastian slipped the skirt on her. "Elliot had someone prepare these outfits according to your style in Fiorenza."
It was true that Stephanie's fashion sense had improved over the years.
This tin Long Harbor, many of her clothes looked really sophisticated. Had her maturity cfrom the Hart family pushing her to grow up? The thought of the Hart family made a flash of coldness cross Sebastian's eyes as he held her.
"Okay," she replied softly.
She knew it wasn't about her style in Fiorenza. All her clothes back in Fiorenza were picked out by Om Sebastian. To him, she had never really grown up, so naturally, the outfits he arranged for her were all for kids. "What's the UV like outside? I need sunscreen," Stephanie said.
"I'll put it on you," Sebastian replied without missing a beat. He took her to the restroom to wash her face, applying a special cream and finishing off with sunscreen spray.
"Is that better now?" he asked afterward.
Stephanie extended her fair little arms. "You missed this part." Sebastian chuckled. "Such a diva."
After sfussing around, Sebastian led Stephanie out of the lounge, where Macro was waiting. When he saw Stephanie's outfit and helsaw then looked at Sebastian, who was in black pants and a white shirt, he raised an eyebrow. "You know, this doesn't look like you're bringing your wife; it looks more like you're bringing your little daughter,” Macro asked.
Stephanie couldn't help but feel speechless.
Elliot turned his face away, thinking that both Lorenzo and he had wasted their breath warning Macro.
3/4 09:36 Thu, 20 Mar Chapter 194 Macro's mouth was running faster than his brain. Realizing what he had said, he quickly ducked behind Elliot to escape the awkward situation.
