This time, it was Terrence who was stunned.
Was she really angry?
He took out his phone and dialed Theodore’s number.
“Can you check when Valerie returned to D.C.?"
Theodore was surprised.

Valerie was actually in Washington D.C.!
Relying on her memory, Valerie found the restaurant that served crayfish.
After enjoying a late-night snack, Valerie suddenly realized it was already 3 a.m.
Valerie returned to the hotel with light and brisk steps as she no longer needed to worry about waking Terrence
up late at night. However, when she pushed open the door, she saw Terrence sitting on the sofa with a serious
face.
Valerie's smile faded.
She glanced at the room number, making sure she hadn't made a mistake before saying coldly, “This is my
room.”
“Why are you coming back so late?” Terrence’s face was hidden in the dim light, and only the outline could be
vaguely seen.
The tone, however, remained as cold as ever, devoid of any emotion.
“I would cback whenever | liked, and why should I report it to you?” Valerie pointed to the door, saying,
“Can you leave?”
Terrence’s brows furrowed tightly. “I waited for you not to argue, but to resolve the issue. | admit it was my fault
for not showing up on the o for the marriage license. | will give you anything for your forgiveness!”
“I don’t need it!” Valerie's beautiful and delicate face turned cold under the warm light.“Terrence, we are done!”

He rose from the sofa, his tall figure casting a shadow that gave off a strong sense of suffocation.
“Valerie, | had already asked Theodore to check. You booked the presidential suite at this hotel a week ago. At
that time, Theodore happened to cto D.C. with the cooperation proposal.”
Valerie laughed out of anger, “So, you think I lived here just to bump into you?”
She realized now that one could indeed laugh out of frustration!
Terrence said, “You still won't admit it now that | have evidence?”
Valerie lightly opened her red lips and said, “Get out!”
