Chapter 503
Chapter 503:
Her remark wasn’t as innocent as it seemed. It was meant to spark stension.
“What's so special about that? She only cares about herself, running ahead and leaving the rest of us
struggling!” Giuliana, panting heavily and clutching her knees, shot an accusing glare at Khloe. “This is supposed
to be a team effort, not her solo show.”
Khloe rose to her feet and brushed off her clothes with quiet composure. She cast a chilly, disinterested glance
at Giuliana before turning away, her posture confident as she dismissed the outburst entirely.
Giuliana’s temper flared, and she was about to curse when a tall figure stepped out from behind the tree.
Henrik’s calm but commanding gaze landed on her. “If you've got the energy to complain, then it seems the hike
wasn't tough enough for you. Skip the rest—start building your shelter immediately.”
Giuliana’s face drained of color. She opened her mouth to protest, but Henrik’s frosty stare stopped her cold. It
felt like a predator's eyes were locked on her, leaving her knees trembling.
For finishing the challenge on time, Khloe earned the perk of picking the best spot to set up her shelter. Without
hesitation, she chose a cluster of trees near the camp’s edge and headed over. She moved so quickly that the

Determined to find better materials for her shelter, Khloe ventured deeper into the forest beyond the camp. Just
as she found a spot and was about to gather vines and banana leaves, a shadow shot towards her like lightning,
lunging straight at her.
Khloe’s eyes narrowed, and with quick precision, she swung the banana leaves in her hand towards the shadowy
figure. A strong hand gripped the end of the leaves, yanking them with such force that Khloe was pulled forward,
landing right in the arms of the person who had been approaching.
Upon seeing Henrik’s familiar, handsface, Khloe’s tension eased, and she found herself pressed against his
chest, much closer than expected. Her fingers brushed Henrik’s broad chest, and she tilted her head upward,
taking in the sharp line of his jaw. With a teasing smile, she asked, “What made you decide to becan
instructor all of a sudden?”
Henrik ran a finger through a strand of her hair, his gaze soft as he looked down at her. With a gentle laugh, he
replied, “I thought I'd surprise you. Pretty good, huh?”

Khloe blinked, momentarily at a loss for words, before pushing herself up. “Okay, I've got to gather materials for
a shelter. You should head back now.” As she started to pull away, Henrik caught her hand once again. A smile
played on his lips. “You could bribe me. | might just arrange a nicer place for you to stay.”
Khloe looked over at Henrik, who wore a smug smile. “Just a kiss, what do you think? Doesn't that sound like a
wonderful idea?” he teased.
“No. Don’t forget there are cameras around. If it gets out that I'm your fiancée, the media will attack me. And
then, how would | track down that mysterious Artist?” Khloe rolled her eyes and was about to shove Henrik away
when he unexpectedly made a move.
“Let’s see if your skills have gotten any better.”
Khloe’s eyes flashed, and without hesitation, she threw a quick punch. Her hand was nearly about to land when
Henrik opened his palm, catching her wrist and pulling her back into his arms.
“If you keep this up,” Khloe shot Henrik a fierce look, her tone filled with determination. When he saw the
seriousness in her eyes, he quickly let go. Khloe grabbed the banana leaves from Henrik and turned to walk
further into the forest.
As Henrik watched her figure fade into the distance, his fingers brushed the spot on his chest where her hand
had rested. A smile tugged at the corners of his mouth, his eyes gleaming with something unspoken.
Khloe reappeared in front of the cameras, draped in banana leaves and vines. Without saying a word, she got to
work, quickly assembling a makeshift shelter. The folding knife she had brought with her turned out to be exactly

out carefully on the ground. In time, she had woven them together into a hammock.
