Chapter 491
Chapter 491:
Felix was sent flying backward, slamming into the wall with a heavy thud before collapsing to the ground, blood
spilling from his mouth. Despite his injuries, he refused to relent, shakily drawing a sharp dagger hidden in his
sleeve. The dagger’s blade gleamed ominously under the faint light as Felix lunged at Henrik, screaming with
venomous rage, “I'll kill you!”
Henrik snorted coldly, his eyes filled with disdain and ruthlessness. With a fluid movement, he tilted his body
slightly, dodging Felix’s desperate stab effortlessly.
Then, with lightning speed, his hand shot out and grabbed Felix’s wrist, holding the dagger, and twisted it hard.
A sharp crunching sound echoed as Felix’s wrist bone was instantly broken, and the dagger fell to the ground
with a clatter.
A loud, piercing scream escaped Felix’s mouth. However, Henrik showed no sign of stopping. His other hand
grabbed Felix’s neck in a vice-like grip, slowly lifting him off the ground. Felix kept kicking his feet in the air,
struggling desperately.

with terror and despair.
“You want to kill me? Do you really think you can do it?” Henrik’s voice was low and icy, as if the devil himself
were speaking.
Then, he exerted force on his hand, and another sickening crunch was heard. Felix’s neck was violently twisted,
and his head drooped lifelessly.
Henrik threw Felix’s lifeless body with cold indifference, as though discarding something utterly worthless. The
body fell heavily to the ground with a dull thud, sending a faint puff of dust into the still air.
He disposed of the last remaining person with the sindifference, dusting off his hands as if the man he had
just killed was nothing.
After everything was settled, Henrik turned to Khloe. This time, his eyes softened.
He picked up the phone from the floor, removed the USB flash drive, and handed it back to Khloe. “Artist is very
alert. We lost her.”

When he saw Khloe put away the USB flash drive, a hint of worry flashed in his eyes. “This elusive Artist isn't
someone to be trifled with. Do you know her? Why did she do this to you?”
Henrik could tell that this woman was cunning and harbored deep hostility towards Khloe, watching her like a
venomous snake.
Khloe couldn't help but frown as she recalled every detail of her encounter with Artist that day. “I met her for the
first ttoday, but she seemed to have a great deal of animosity towards me. No matter how much I think
about it, | can’t recall a t| might have offended her. Could it be...”
She suddenly thought of a possibility. Her expression darkened even more. Henrik’s eyes also clouded. “She
might be the mastermind behind your imprisonment.”
In fact, after Khloe agreed to be his fiancée, Henrik had sent someone to investigate the reasons behind her
imprisonment.
One factor was the Evans family’s framing, and the other was the pharmaceutical accident abroad that had
resulted in hundreds of deaths. The latter was the true turning point that ruined Khloe’s career.
Although all clues pointed to Sloane and Lorraine, Henrik could tell that the Evans family didn’t have the ability
to orchestrate it after interacting with Khloe and understanding her capabilities. Even the head of the Evans
family couldn't successfully frKhloe. So, Sloane and Lorraine were merely tools used by someone else.

However, despite Henrik’s vast resources and extensive network, he could only find the faintest traces, unable to
uncover this person's true identity.
Khloe was shaken by Henrik’s words, and a trace of deep-seated hatred crossed her eyes. “I also suspect that
Artist is the person who framed me. If it really is her, then she’s vicious—scheming againstsecretly for so
long. | must find her and tear her apart.”
As she spoke, her hands subconsciously clenched into tight fists, her nails digging into the palms of her hands.
But she was so consumed by her hatred for Artist that she seemed oblivious to the pain.
