Scott felt anxious. From their recent encounters, it was clear that Elysia was no ordinary individual. If she did not

obtain the answers she sought today, it was likely she would take extrmeasures, and at that point, it would

be too late for regrets.

After carefully weighing his options in his mind, he spoke as if making a monumental decision, “I have not met

that individual. During the transaction years ago, we only communicated via phone.

“He wanted Bella’s child, yet he had no interest in a living infant, only a deceased one. So, to ensure a smooth

process, | took Bella to Jorlandia several days before her due date and admitted her to the hospital arranged by

him.

“After the child was born, | suffocated her with my own hands and left her in the location specified by him. After

that, | took off. He was very cautious; even our phone conversations were altered. So, | really know nothing

about his identity.”

Elysia clasped her hands together, undeterred by the truth of Scott's words. If even the Evans family could not

uncover any clues, then his mind was surely sharper than most.

It seemed she had misjudged earlier; it was not Scott who had replaced the infant, but rather the individual he

had mentioned. However, she was quite curious about how he managed to perform such an act without drawing

attention.

Yuna had tasks to attend to once again.

Elysia’s gaze swept over Scott, who was clutching his forehead in guilt. Her tone was frigid as she said,

“Someone like you might not feel indebted to others.”

With that, she turned and walked away.

Scott stared at her disappearing figure, lost in thought. Elysia was correct; he had never felt indebted to anyone.

To him, those who served his interests were merely doing their jobs.

From a different perspective, it was he who helped them realize their value; they ought to be grateful.

Exiting the prison, Elysia slid into the backseat of the car, a mischievous smirk playing on her lips as she

quipped, “Yuna, you got tasks.”

“Elysia, what do you needto do?” Yuna replied, focused and ready for action.

“Investigate the people involved in Mrs. Evans's delivery from years ago. Remember, no detail is too small. Pay

special attention to those who registered at the hospital months before, or within a year of her delivery, or those

who left immediately after.”

“Yes, Elysia,” Yuna confirmed, determination in her voice.

“Great. Let's head back to Arcanum House.”

“Alright.” Yuna nodded, and they set off.

As Elysia gazed out of the window, she pondered. If her deductions were correct, this mysterious individual must

have had an excellent cover to act without arousing suspicion among the crowd.

She thought, ‘What identity could allow someone to enter and exit the delivery room without raising eyebrows?

Surely, only a doctor or a nurse would suffice.

This approach might just lead to breakthroughs.

Upon reaching Arcanum House, Elysia found Jack and the others seated in her courtyard, sipping coffee. Upon

seeing her, their faces brightened with genuine delight.

“Elysia,” Jack exclaimed.

Hearing his voice, Elysia approached with a simile. “Jack, when did you all arrive?”

“Just now. Alyce told us that you had gone out for errands, so we waited here for a bit. How did it go? Did you

resolve everything?”

“Everything has been settled,” Elysia aflirmed.

“That's good to hear,” Jack said, taking a sip from his cup. “Elysia, since we've been in Sivro for a while now, it’s

about twe head back. Will you cwith us, or would you prefer to stay here?”

Originally, they had planned to return together, but after Elysia recently acknowledged her godparents, she

wasn't entirely alone in Sivro. Jack wanted to know her thoughts. If she wished to stay, they would respect her

choice.

Elysia could easily read their thoughts; however, she had already made her decision. Once she wrapped up her

matters, she intended to accompany the elders back to Silverstream. This choice was unchangeable.

Linking her arm with Jack's, she softened her voice, “Jack, | want to return with all of you.”

As Leo and Max had worried she might choose to remain in Sivro, their hearts finally eased upon hearing her

decision.

They had longed for this moment. Although they understood Elysia wouldn't stay with them forever, they would

find joy, even if it was just for a few days or months.

Jack felt a joy that matched Leo’s and Max's. ‘Who wouldn’t want Elysia by their side always?"

Yet, they would honor her decision, particularly after the ordeal with Scott.

The group stood up in high spirits, returning to their rooms. Elysia watched their aging forms disappear, her

smile gradually fading,

The elders were growing old. Memories of her childhood flooded her mind, recalling the moment she concocted

her first medicine, with Jack twirling her around in the courtyard, delight radiating from his face.

At that time, she had only been five, while Jack had been far sturdier than he was now.

During her youth, she had been scorned by the other children in the village until Leo defended her, fighting for

her rights.

After Max learned of this, he intensified her training, asserting that only by defeating them through her own

merits would she earn their respect and deter future bullying.

Thus, at the age of seven, she threw a chubby boy, two years her senior and significantly taller, into a pool. He

never dared to bully her again, nor did the other village children, who began to avoid her, fearing her wrath.

Eventually, that chubby boy becher subordinate, dutifully following her commands.

Years passed, and while she had grown, the elders had aged beyond recognition.

Reflecting now, she cherished her childhood-the days spent beside the elders were among her happiest.

Her gaze fell upon the courtyard, observing every blade of grass and flower. Elysia sighed, knowing she would

soon leave.

‘When will I return? How is Elena faring these days? Has Ava been studying diligently?‘ In her contemplation, she

pulled our her phone and dialed Elena’s number, coincidentally, Ava was nearby.

As soon as the call connected, Ava’s voice chimed in, “Elysia, do you not loveanymore? You haven't called

me,”

“Ava? Are you with Elena?”

“Of course. Otherwise, how would | know you're only calling her and neglecting me? I'm upset? Ava’s tone was

playful, clearly not genuinely angry

Ava, | planned to call you right after Elena”

“I don’t care: you clearly don’t loveanymore.”

“Well then, shall I call you first next time?”

Elena raised an eyebrow, shooting a disapproving glance at Ava. “Elysia, don’t mind her. I'll handle her shortly?

Ava, upon hearing this, quickly grabbed Elena’s arm, looking pitiful “Elena, I'm so adorable. Could you really

bring yourself to discipline me?”

Seeing Elena’s silence, Ava leaned closer to the phone, pleading with Elysia on the other end, “Elysia, save me, |

want to live a bit longer.”

Elysia chuckled at the plea. “Elena, let her go this time. She's just a little kid it wouldn't do to harm her”

“Very well,” Elena relented. “In light of Elysia’s appeal, I'll spare you today”

Ava sighed with relief, grateful to avoid punishment.

Elena then turned to Elysia, asking, “Elysia, what brings you to call today? Are you coming back to school?”
