Chapter 217 Logan stood by, unsure of what to do. Bella had only told him to protect Emma’s honor. She hadn't
prepared him for this ‘As long as Emma isn’t raped, a little lesson wouldn't hurt her he thought. Just as he was
pondering this. Thorne suddenly shoved Robert aside and lunged for Emma. But as soon as his hand touched
her, Robert charged back. In a flash of anger, Thorne grabbed a knife from somewhere and stabbed Robert,
Blood trickled down the handle, turning the white shirt red. Robert clutched his stomach, collapsing to the
ground. Thorne’s face turned pale with shock, and so did everyone else’s. No one could believe he'd actually
hurt Robert Melissa rushed over, her face pale with fear. She wrapped an arm around Thorne and took the knife
from his trembling hand. “Thorne, are you okay?” she asked, her voice shaking. “I killed him. 1-1 did this,”
Thorne muttered, his face drained of color. “Don’t worry; as long as he’s still breathing, we'll be fine, Melissa
said, glancing at Robert on the floor. Cold sweat was beading on his forehead, and the blood pooling around him
was growing larger by the second. Everyone stood frozen, rooted to the spot. Emma had retreated to the corner,
her eyes wide with terror, and her body trembling uncontrollably. Dennis, who had also been taken aback by
Thorne’s impulsiveness, quickly snapped out of it. “What are you all standing around for? Call an ambulance!” he
barked. Melissa fumbled with her phone, finally dialing 911. After giving the address, she tried to press her hand
against Robert's wound to stop the bleeding, but she was so panicked she didn’t know where to place it. “You...
just hang in there. The ambulance is on its way,” she stammered, her voice barely steady. Despite her age, she
had never faced anything like this before, and fear was only natural. Elysia, on the other hand, watched the
chaos unfold with a cold, unyielding expression. What a bunch of heartless hypocrites,” she thought to herself.
She walked over to Robert, crouched down beside him, and sneered, “Now do you know what happens when you

at her, waiting to see what she would do next. Yuna, who knew exactly what Elysia was thinking, stepped in.
“Everyone, let's step outside and give them sspace,” she said firmly. Melissa opened her mouth to protest,
but Dennis gave her a warning look. She quickly shut her mouth and helped Thorne out of the room. Once
everyone had left, Emma was still huddled in the corner, too terrified to move. Yuna walked over, grabbed her
arm, and pulled her to her feet, dragging her out of the room. The room was empty, and Elysia toyed with her
fingers, a playful smirk on her face. Robert stared at her, a tear slipping down his cheek. “Am I... going to die?”
She met his gaze, her eyes cold as steel. “What do you think?” Robert looked at her, surprisingly feeling no
discomfort. Instead, a warm smile spread across his face. “I'm dying, and you're still so cold. Elysia, if you hadn't
been taken away and had grown up as a Rosewood, would things have turned out differently for us?” 1/3 14:15
Wed, 5 Mar Chapter 217 Elysia raised an eyebrow-looked like he still didn’t know she wasn’t Scott's real
daughter. 61% She lifted his head with a flick of her wrist, her expression indifferent. “You're overthinking. Save
those questions for later.” “Stop kidding.” Robert whispered. “I don’t have any tleft...” +5 “Do you really
think you're going to die that easily?” She pulled a pill from her pocket and popped it into his mouth. “Death isn’t
ready for you yet. You're living because | want you to. A little pain is good-be smarter next time.” Robert didn’t
fully understand, but her words brought him a strange sense of comfort. The ambulance whisked Robert into the
operating room, and Rachel and Nora finally arrived, their faces etched with anxiety. They stood outside the OR,
hearts pounding. The last tthey'd been here was for Matthew. And they were back so soon, this twith
Robert inside. The Davis family did face so many crises in such a short tand they couldn't help but wonder
why. Rachel was sobbing uncontrollably, and Nora held her up, barely holding back her own tears. She glanced at
Dennis's family standing off to the side and Emma, who was huddled in the corner. Nora’s brow furrowed in
anger. “Can someone explain what happened?” Nora's voice was icy as she looked at them, demanding answers.
Melissa was already panicking and explained, “I'm so sorry... Um...” Her eyes landed on Emma as she shouted,
“It’s because of her! If Robert hadn't stepped in front of her, Thorne wouldn't have stabbed him.” Hearing
Emma’s name, Nora snapped. She lunged forward, grabbing Emma by the collar and yanking her up. “Listen up!
If anything happens to my brother, I'll make you pay.” But Emma just looked dazed, devoid of any reaction. She
couldn't even cry anymore. Nora glared at her, fury boiling inside. She'd known from the start that Emma was
trouble. She wanted to slap her, but she held back. Robert was still inside, fighting for his life. Any reckoning
would have to wait until the surgery was over. They waited outside the operating room for what felt like an
eternity. Finally, the light above the door went out, and they all rushed forward. “Doctor, how's my brother?” Dr.
Tommy nodded reassuringly. “The surgery went well. He just needs to focus on recovery now.” At his words,
everyone breathed a sigh of relief, the tension in their hearts finally easing. It was going to be okay. Emma’s
tense body relaxed, and she let out a long, shuddering breath. All her pent-up emotions spilled out, and she
began to cry. Nora noticed, but she was too preoccupied with thoughts of Robert to pay much attention. The
waiting room was empty except for Emma, who sat alone outside the operating room, her head buried in her
arms. She felt like the weight of the world was crushing her. “You really are pathetic, aren't you?” A cold voice
cut through the silence. Emma looked up and there stood Elysia, leaning casually against the wall with a smirk
on her face. “What do Emma snapped, wiping away the tears that still streamed down her cheeks. “Just here to
enjoy this ” Elysia replied, her tone dripping with sarcasm. “I'm down and out now. You happy?” Emma
said. Elysia sneered, “You think you're so important? Newsflash-you’re not.” you want?” Emma felt humiliated.

something really interesting?” Emma's breath caught in her throat. “What are you trying to say?” “Your real
father,” Elysia said. “You've always wondered about him, haven't you?” +5 Emma’s mind raced. Her real father?
Could Elysia possibly know something she didn’t? Her eyes widened with a mix of fear and curiosity. “How could
you know anything about that?” Elysia let out a cold laugh and crouched down in front of Emma, her face inches
away. “You really think everyone is as clueless as you?”
