Chapter 216
Thorne’s face was dark with anger. If it hadn't been for Melissa's friend running into Dennis, they might never
have found out about this,

Dennis's cheating was okay to him, but the thought of Dennis with Emma-his ex-girlfriend-was more than he
could bear. Even if it had only been for a day, she was still his ex.
Thorne sneered, thinking back to how Emma had once claimed to be innocent. Now she was in his father’s bed.
How could she be so shameless?
Melissa tugged at Emma’s hair and slapped her again, her anger unchecked.
Emma's tears flowed freely, her face a mess of tears and tangled hair. Her clothes were in tatters, and she felt
utterly helpless. Thorne looked at her, his eyes cold and filled with hatred. There was no sympathy, only fury.
He stepped forward and struck her with a force that left a cut on her lip. “How can you be so shameless?” he
growled, his voice low and menacing. “Do you have any decency left?”
Robert had barely stepped through the hotel's grand entrance when Elysia and her group pulled up outside.
As they got out of the car, they caught sight of Robert's hurried figure disappearing into the lobby. Elysia’s lips
curled into a knowing smile. It seemed like tonight was going to be anything but boring.
Logan, already on the top floor of the Funya Hotel, could hear heated voices coming from the presidential suite.
He quickened his pace, his heart pounding with urgency.
As he reached the door, he saw Robert standing protectively in front of Emma, while Thorne pointed at him

“Stay out of this,” Thorne warned, his voice dripping with hostility. “Your family isn’t what it used to be. If you
don’t want to get hurt, step aside.”
Robert stood firm, his eyes blazing with determination. “You've got all these people ganging up on her,” he
retorted. “Don’t you think that’s a bit unfair?”
“Unfair?” Thorne scoffed, his eyes narrowing. “What if she was in your dad’s bed? Would you still think we're
being unfair?”
Robert's eyes flickered with surprise as he glanced at Dennis, who looked disheveled and uncomfortable. He
then turned to Emma, who was sobbing uncontrollably.
She shook her head frantically, trying to deny everything, but that wasn’t of any help.
Dennis's face was a mix of frustration and embarrassment. He knew he was in the wrong, and every the
tried to speak, the words caught in his throat. He was furious at being caught, but even more frustrated that he
couldn't do anything about it.
Elysia, who had been watching the scene unfold, sauntered in with a teasing smile. “Well, well, well,” she
drawled. “I didn’t know Mr. Ludwig had such a taste for .”
Everyone in the room turned to look at her. Robert and Thorne’s brows furrowed, while Emma’s sobs subsided as
she tried to make sense of why Elysia was there.
“What are you doing here?” Thorne demanded, his voice tinged with anger. He and Elysia bore grudges against
each other, and he didn’t need her prying into his family’s mess.

Chapter 216
“Just here to enjoy the show,” Elysia replied, her tone playful as she crossed her arms.
Thorne’s anger flared, but before he could lash out, Dennis stepped in. “Thorne, calm down,” he said, his voice
steady.
Thorne reluctantly held his tongue. He might be upset with his father’s actions, but Dennis was still the head of
the family, and Thorne knew better than to go against his wishes.
Dennis straightened his clothes and forced a smile. “Ms. Rosewood, my apologies for this... spectacle,” he said,
trying to smooth things over.
Dennis, who always navigates the business world with ease, quickly guessed who was standing before him. Even
if he hadn't met her before, he had clearly heard her nfrom Thorne. With Elysia’s presence, he had already
considered his options
in his mind.
And Yuna was the second most authoritative figure in Arcanum House. Her closeness to Elysia showed that the
relationship between Elysia and the Owner of Arcanum House was much closer than he had imagined.
He needed to handle this carefully. If he upset her and gave the Owner of Arcanum House a bad impression of
the Ludwig family, it wouldn't be worth the trouble.
“Ms. Rosewood, | apologize for the inconvenience,” Dennis said, his tone conciliatory. “It’s just a family matter.
By the way, Emma was your... former sister, right? If you'd like us to let her go, we can do that for your sake.

All eyes turned to Elysia, especially Emma’s. Despite her upset by Dennis's attitude toward Elysia, she had
hoped Elysia would intervene. But the look on Elysia’s face was anything but sympathetic.
“Mr. Ludwig, as you said, that’s all in the past,” Elysia replied with a smile, her tone cool and distant. “Do
whatever you want. Don’t worry about me. Just act like I'm: not here.”
Emma'’s face fell, her hope replaced by a deep sense of disappointment and betrayal.
Thorne, on the other hand, looked pleased. He reached for Emma, but Robert quickly moved to block him. “Just
say the word, and Emma will be safe,” Robert insisted, glancing at Elysia.
“I'm not in the business of saving people like you,” Elysia replied, her voice flat.
Thorne laughed, a harsh sound that cut through the tension. “Did you hear that, Mr. Davis? Stay out of this, or I'll
make sure you regret it.”
Melissa had already stepped back, keeping her distance. She knew it was best to let Thorne handle the situation.
If she got involved, it would only lead to gossip and trouble. These were young people, and she, as an elder,
shouldn't meddle in their affairs.
