Seeing that Logan was dead-set on not letting her help with the suitcase, Alyce didn’t push it. Instead, she

politely made a “please” gesture, which caught Logan off-guard.

Logan frowned, thinking, ‘Why is Elysia’s friend so polite? So polite that it seems more like a boss-employee

thing than a friendship. When did Elysia start having friends like this?‘

A bunch of questions popped into his head. When he looked at Alyce again, there was a bit of curiosity in his

eyes.

From the moment they met until now, Alyce hadn't smiled even once. She didn’t even say a few friendly words

like someone helping out a friend would.

Her voice was cold, and she did everything in a no-nonsense way. She was almost like a chauffeur-but no, she

was even colder than a chauffeur. The whole vibe she gave off was really cold.

Seeing that Logan was just standing there, staring at her without moving, Alyce finally spoke up to remind him.

“Mr. Jackson, this way, please.”

Logan finally cto his senses, stepped forward, and got into the black car. The car sped through the busy

streets, turned onto a quiet road, and finally stopped in front of the Arcanum House.

Logan got out of the car and stared at the red-bricked wooden door with the words “Arcanum House” on it,

feeling a bit confused.

The famous Arcanum House, well-known all over Clusia-of course he knew about it. It was said that the

medicines from Arcanum House were amazing; they could even save people who were almost dead.

He didn’t know why Alyce bring him to Arcanum House and if Elysia could be there.

“Please, Mr. Jackson.” Alyce led him in the house.

Full of questions, Logan followed Alyce inside. They went all the way to the front reception area, where Elysia

was sitting in the main seat.

“Boss, I've brought the person you asked for,” Alyce said respectfully to Elysia.

Logan was too shocked to say anything; he actually heard that she addressed Elysia boss.

“Logan, please have a seat,” Elysia said, pointing to a chair beside her, telling Logan to sit down. Then, she

waved at Alyce. “You can go now.”

“Yes, boss.” Alyce then left.

Logan watched Alyce leave until she was out of sight. After a while, he asked, “Elysia, what's really going on

here?”

“It's just like you see,” Elysia replied.

“Like what | see?” Logan couldn't believe it. “Elysia, don’t tell me... you're the master of Arcanum House?” When

Elysia nodded, Logan's mouth dropped open in amazement.

He thought the news that Elysia was Rowan was breaking enough. It never across his mind that Elysia was also

the master of

Arcanum House.

Comparing to Elysia, he suddenly felt like his whole twenty-plus years of life were a joke.

Elysia, only eighteen, had two such important titles. Either one of them would be enough to scare people half to

death.

thought that woman was Elysia’s friend; luckily, | didn’t ask.

While he was lost in thought, a big laugh cfrom outside the door. “Elysia, | heard you have a friend over?”

Logan turned towards the entrance when he heard the voice and saw three old men walking in. The oldest-

looking one seemed kinder and more experienced than the others.

Elysia stood up to greet them. “Jack, Leo, Max, letintroduce you to my cousin from the Rosewood family,

Logan.”

Then she turned to Logan and said, “Logan, this is Jack, and those two are Leo and Max. They used to live in

Silverstream.”

Hearing this, Logan also stood up politely. “Nice to meet you.”

But the three snorted coldly, especially Jack. His expression changed right away. “The Rosewood family? You

mean the family that bullied our girl?” -

“Kid, how dare you show up here?” Max said, raising his fist.

Feeling the tension, Elysia quickly stepped in to explain. “You got it wrong. Logan isn’t like Scott, he’s always

been really nice to me.”

“Really?” Jack raised an eyebrow and looked at her.

“Of course! Jack, if he really bullied me, do you think he’d be here now?”

Hearing this, Jack's expression softened a bit, and he glanced at Max, signaling him to calm down.

Seeing this, Max reluctantly put his fist down, but couldn't help saying, “Kid, you're lucky today. If you ever bully

our girl again, you'll feel my fists!”

Logan was so scared that he took a step back, and his voice got softer. “How could | ever bully Elysia? | would

never do that.”

Even though he was facing a group of old people, their strong presence was really intimidating. He not only

didn’t dare to act up, but he also wasn’t sure he could get away unhurt if he tried.

Besides, they were Elysia’s seniors; all he could do was be respectful and do what they said. Anything else was

out of the question, let alone actually doing it.

“Good that you know!” Max said, calming down his fierce look. Ever since finding out what the Rosewood family

did to Elysia, he had nothing but contempt for them.

Anyone from that family just annoyed him. But since Elysia said Logan was fine, Max would listen to her.

“Have a seat,” Jack said, pointing to a chair next to Logan.

Hearing this, Logan sat down obediently, sitting up straight with a calm expression on his face.

Elysia watched him, feeling amused. She was surprised to see the usually fearless Logan being so well-behaved.

She wondered what Logan’s parents would think if they saw him like this.

Jack sat in the main seat, while Leo and Max took seats opposite Logan, making the atmosphere a bit tense. “So,

um... what's your name?” Jack asked, looking at Logan.

Logan replied, “I am Logan.”

Hearing this, Jack nodded. “Since she calls you cousin, does that mean you're Bella's nephew?”

To be honest, they already felt out of place. They had heard that Elysia’s friend was visiting and thought they'd

But when they saw it was someone from the Rosewood family, their mood turned bad right away. Now, finally,

they could leave.

After Jack and the others left, Logan finally let out a sigh of relief, and his straight posture immediately slumped.
