Chapter 478 DNA Test
"What on earth happened?"
A few days ago, Zephyr was in Jacaster, but he wasn't constantly keeping tabs on what Isla was doing. She was
out and about every day, and Zephyr simply thought she was just having fun.
Sophia was not one to gossip for no reason. If she said something, it was because she had sinsider
knowledge.
"It's a long story. It all started with Zachary's aunt, Tamara, who adopted an orphaned baby girl abroad, who is
now five years old. Last year, Nora had a miscarriage, and it just so happened that Mdm. Fuller had some
matters to attend to, so she sent the little girl back to her hcountry for Zachary to look after. In an attempt
to please Nora, Zachary decided to let the girl stay permanently in their country to keep Nora company. The girl
was even registered in Zachary's family registry, but..."
Zephyr had already anticipated what Sophia was going to say next and preempted her, "But not too long ago,
there was a sudden rumor that the girl is Zachary and Isla's child, isn't it?"
"Right, I'm not exactly sure about the details, but it seems related to Mdm. Fuller. From the beginning, she knew
about the girl's identity and she never liked Nora. Anyway, Nora is now staying at my place, and she is having
issues with Zachary again." Zephyr voiced his skepticism. "How are you so sure that the child is Zachary and
Isla's? Has a DNA test been done?"
"There was indeed a test. It seemed like Zachary himself had sent someone to a hospital run by Fuller Group to
do it. The results should be fairly reliable. When | first heard this news, | couldn't believe it, let alone Nora."
Zephyr's brow furrowed slightly, a solemn glint flashing in his eyes.
In that case, the DNA test is probably accurate. Carrying a child to term takes ten months; concealing it certainly
isn't an easy task.
Thinking back, Zephyr recalled that Isla was attending a private university in Navarre six years ago. She had
spent more than half the year there. If she had wanted to hide something, she might have actually been able to
pull it off.
Back then, Zephyr had just arrived at the Wilson family and wasn't familiar with Isla. He didn't pay particular
attention to her and couldn't recall anything peculiar about her during that time.
Falling silent, he knew he needed to discuss this matter with Isla once he returned home.
Sophia lamented, "Your question suggests that Isla's parents and her uncle's family had no idea that she had a
child. Did she manage to deceive them all? How incompetent of them! But then again, it does seem like
something Isla would do. The child stayed at my house once. She was incredibly smart and adorable. It's hard to
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtbelieve that Isla is her biological mother. I just hope she doesn't grow up to be like Isla."
Sophia made no attempt to hide her disdain for Isla in front of Zephyr.
"Indeed, her family is unaware. Up to this point, Isla hasn't spoken to them about this matter..."
Regarding this spoiled younger sister of his, Zephyr was momentarily at a loss for words. "She's been spoilt since
she was a child. If you can, try to avoid her in the future, and most importantly, don't let yourself be bullied by
her." Sophia raised an eyebrow. "Why aren't you askingwhy | said that? Or has Isla tattled to you already?"
"She toldabout the incident you guys had on the plane and also about how you and Lenora smashed her car
not too long ago."
"Wow, seems like you two are pretty close, huh? So, do you think I did the right thing?" Sophia asked with a
smile as she looked at him. Zephyr chuckled. "If | hadn't stopped her, she would have been back to bother you
guys long ago."
"So, | suppose | should be thanking you then?"
"I've always been a generous person, so there's no need for thanks. However, if you insist on expressing your
gratitude, then..."
"Then, | won't do it. There's no reason forto feel guilty."
Rendered speechless, Zephyr chuckled before changing the topic. "We're about to reach the food street."
As they approached the food street, it was around eight in the evening. Thus, the place was bustling with people.
Zephyr took a drove around the nearby streets, eventually finding a parking spot. Once the car was parked, the
two of them got out and walked toward the food street, embarking on their culinary adventure.
As a major city in Nusridge, Cutvine boasted a wide variety of local snacks. Sof these, including blue cheese
fritters,, blue cheese fritters, pizza, and shrimp cocktail, were so renowned that they were known across the
entire country. Sophia had been to Cutvine for work previously. However, due to her tight schedule, she only had
the chance to explore other areas. This was her first tvisiting this particular food street.
She first purchased two large bratwursts and shared one with Zephyr.
Having consumed only half, Sophia paused in front of the tacos stall. Swallowing her saliva, she asked, "Do you
know where | can find a trash bin?"
"Aren't you going to finish the rest?"
"Mmm."
"It doesn't taste good?"
"No, it's delicious, but there are still so many snacks | want to try. | need to save room in my stomach." Zephyr
was left dumbfounded.
"Give it to me." He took the remaining half of the bratwurst from her hand, effortlessly gobbling it down.
By then, Sophia had already bought stacos.
She was like a bandit, not missing a single house, yet she only tasted a few bites of all the snacks she bought.
Then, she would unabashedly leave the rest for Zephyr.
Zephyr was relishing in the circumstances when an epiphany struck him. It was as if he had returned to seven
years ago.
After a stressful week of studying, they secretly went out on a date during the weekend.
Back then, his family was plagued by poverty. His father's illness had depleted their savings, leaving them in
financial strain. His school fees were covered by his teachers who, recognizing his academic prowess, managed
to secure a scholarship for him.
His living expenses were scraped together from working during winter and summer vacations and from tutoring
students who cfrom well-off families but had average academic performance. However, it was just enough
to cover his needs. Most of the expenses for the dates between the two were usually covered by Sophia.
He knew that her family was well-off and she didn't care much about money. However, he couldn't let her be the
only one contributing, so he would occasionally save up money to take Sophia to a food street that he could
afford.
She had a penchant for buying everything, yet she would always just take a bite or two before handing the rest
over to him.
Back then, life was tinged with poverty and hardship, yet it was the happiest the had ever experienced, and
he missed it profoundly.
"Hey, what are you thinking about? Why aren't you responding?"
Zephyr snapped back to reality,
meeting Sophia's gaze. His lips
curved into a faint smile. "I was just
thinking about our senior year in
high school. After our midterm
exams in the first semester,
We
went
to a food street over the weekend..."
For a moment, Sophia's gaze turned distant.
That time, Zephyr had been given counterfeit money in change.
Back in the day, electronic payments were not yet widespread, and Zephyr only had a basic cell phone, used

After they discovered the issue, they went back to confront the stall owner. At first, the owner refused to
acknowledge the problem. Then, Sophia threatened him, saying she would ruin his business.
The stall owner, realizing Sophia was somewhat influential, reluctantly returned their money.
"Why bring up all that? It's ancient history now."
Zephyr didn't listen; he just continued reminiscing, "I remember the day before we went to the food street, | had
just finished tutoring you on your homework..."
Sophia's face darkened as she gritted her teeth. "Zephyr!"
She was a passionate young woman. After successfully capturing Zephyr's heart, she was solely focused on
improving his life.
Zephyr, however, was reluctant to accept charity. Left with no choice, Sophia had to resort to having Zephyr
tutor her, paying him for his services.
However, it didn't make a difference in her grades.
The tutoring session that weekend took place at Sophia's house.
Her parents were not at home, and only a housekeeper was present.
Sophia, from a young age, simply wasn't interested in studying. She would rather die than do her homework.
Taking tutoring sessions was merely a pretext to give her boyfriend smoney. Plus, it gave her a chance to
spend talone with him. Naturally, it was an excellent idea.
However, when the tuition finally
started, Sophia found it nothing short of a nightmare. She couldn't concentrate at all, her mind filled with
thoughts of flirting with her boyfriend. She would keep making physical contact with him, her hands wandering
at every opportunity.
As things progressed, the atmosphere changed.
Both of them were aroused by each other.
Later on, they ended up studying in bed, exploring the biological mysteries of their bodies.
