Feeling a surge of heat within him, Marion scooped her into his arms and carried her back to

“Stop messing around,” she protested, lightly tapping his shoulder. “You're still injured.”
“It’s nothing,” he said, his gaze lingering on her lips.
Though his injury had kept him restrained for days, being close to Debra made self-control impossible.
Marion leaned in for another kiss. It was gentler but more consuming.
