Chapter 27 I was feeling conflicted and unsure of how to view Selena. I loved her, but at the stime, I resented her. I wanted to reconcile and return to how things once were, yet something in my mind warnedagainst it.

Although Zion looked pained and reluctant, he still brought the doctor in to check on her condition.
After we had a simple meal, Zion calledoutside to listen to the doctor's findings.
"The patient's condition appears stable for now. As long as you don't provoke her, she should be able to return to normal in time," the doctor explained.
After hearing this, Zion visibly relaxed and turned towith a smile. "Keeping you here to care for Selena was indeed a good choice. As long as you obediently stay by her side, she'll recover quickly." I glanced around the VIP room, noting the quiet, empty corridors.
Seeing Zion's relieved expression madeshake my head, filled with apprehension for the future. "Zion, I don't understand why you're doing this. Selena is already unwell, and you are the only man by her side." I shook my head and suggested, "Why not take this opportunity to move Selena's money away? You'll have plenty of money that allows you to live freely and comfortably. I've seen many people do just that." The moment I said this, it seemed to strike a nerve with Zion, and his expression darkened. "Hudson, do you think I'm like you, coming from a lowly background? That I'm with Selena just for her money?" I raised an eyebrow, confused.
