"If it doesn't belong to her, | have every right to take it back. Everything I've done was to reclaim what's
rightfully mine. How is that wrong?"
Even though Evangeline had suspected the truth for a long time, hearing Serena admit it aloud still stung deeply.
"All these years, | thought you truly cared for me. But in your heart, you're just like Father. You've never truly
