Chapter 183 "Aaron?" Serena stared in panic at Aaron as he slowly approached, feeling as if someone had gripped her throat, making it hard to breathe.
Could it be that he already knew the secret beneath the old oak tree? The mere thought that Aaron might have already seen those notes made her feel even more suffocated.
"How did you find this place?" she asked, trying to keep her voice steady.
"I followed you, of course," Aaron replied, narrowing his eyes. "You seemed so flustered, like you were hiding something." Serena finally relaxed. It seemed Aaron had no idea about this spot after all.
This place was a discovery she made before she and Aaron were together. There was no way he could know about it.
Back then, she went to great lengths to find this little hollow, just to keep her sappy notes hidden from prying eyes.

Seeing this, Aaron seized Serena's wrist. "Do you really want to avoidthat much?" "Well, they say there's no honest business, and Mr. Vance exemplifies that perfectly. You promisedthat once you returned, we wouldn't meet again..." "I didn't know you'd be at the reunion today!" Aaron protested.
Serena turned to face him, offering a faint smile. "Then... if we meet by chance, shouldn't the latecomer step aside?" Instead of stepping aside, Aaron had followed her here.
Luckily, she had been careful when hiding things and had frequently looked back. Otherwise, Aaron's sudden appearance would have given her quite a scare. Aaron narrowed his eyes slightly, uncertain why he himself had ended up here. "Anyway, Mr. Vance, take care of yourself," Serena said, shaking free from his grip and striding out of the grove as if snakes and scorpions were chasing her.
Aaron watched her retreating figure, feeling his heart sink inch by inch.
He looked down at the large rock nearby, his gaze growing more intense.
He wasn't sure why he had chere, either. He had just felt restless at the thought of Serena's smile when she was with Samuel.
So he left behind the crowd of flatterers and wandered slowly around the campus, reminiscing about his college days with Serena.
As he walked, he found himself in this grove.
He remembered how, back when Serena was pursuing him, she would often dart to this grove, always in a hurry, like a thief.
Aaron crouched down, turning over the rock that Serena had clearly moved.
Inside, he found a multitude of small notes and was taken aback.
He picked up one and unfolded it.
The handwriting was messy, but the writer's emotions were clear.

Looking at the thick stack of notes in the hollow, his heart pounded wildly.
From the content, it was clear these notes were all written by Serenam during the three years she chased him. So...
