Chapter 288 As tpassed, Janice noticed Edward crocheting way faster than she could. His hands stayed steady as he crocheted, and there was not a single clumsy mistake.
"Have you learned this before?" she asked, eyeing him.
"Nope," Edward said. "I just used to watch the seamstresses at work." Janice smiled. "Your fingers are so quick." Edward smirked. "I picked that up from watching you." After he had finished a few practice patterns, maybe 30 or 40 stitches total, Janice leaned in to check his work. She couldn't deny it; Edward was a natural. He was more skilled than most of the beginners at her training institute.
Janice looked up and caught Edward watching her with a hopeful glint in his eyes. "Yes?" she asked. "Aren't you going to compliment me?" he said.
Janice blinked, then let out a soft chuckle. "Well, you did an amazing job. You're better than most beginners. It's hard to believe it was done by a man." She paused, then added, "But making a wedding gown takes a lot of tand effort. It's a huge project. With your busy work schedule, maybe we should put this on hold for now" Edward shook his head. "No," he said firmly.
"Alright. How about starting with a small handkerchief? Get the basics down first, and then I'll show you how to tweak the stitches," Janice suggested.

Edward was incredibly diligent-so much so that Janice envied his former teachers. He picked things up effortlessly and excelled at whatever he did. Who wouldn't love a student like that? Janice sure appreciated having him as one.
Touched by his dedication, Janice brewed him a cup of coffee and set it gently by his hand. She also grabbed seye drops in case his eyes needed a break.
In the quiet of the night, the two sat at their workstations-one crocheting, the other watching closely. Janice's eyes widened as she saw him switch stitches. "You can do freeform crochet?" she asked, surprised. "Did you really think I was totally clueless about crochet?" Edward shot back, not even looking up. "Stay back. I might accidentally hit you with my hook." Janice scooted her chair back fast and returned to her own desk, picking up her work again.
They worked in silence for an hour. When she finally glanced over at his progress, she was stunned by what she saw on his desk.
He had actually crocheted her name, and the letters looked as though they were printed on. His talent was truly impressive.
Janice's eyes widened as she carefully lifted the fabric from the desk, examining it closely.
"Edward, you're incredible at this!" she said, amazed.
Edward stretched his neck, standing up for a moment.
"This is mine now," Janice declared, holding up the fabric.
Edward raised an eyebrow. "But it's not finished yet." "Doesn't matter. It's your first piece, and I'm framing it. Now, letgrab scommon wedding gown patterns for you to try out," Janice said.
The next morning, when Laura realized Edward had stayed up most of the night learning crochet and was already back at it after breakfast, she grabbed her phone and called Barbara right away.
"Mrs. Moore, you won't believe this—Mr. Moore is actually learning to crochet," Laura said.
"He's crocheting?" Barbara asked, completely baffled. "How is that even possible?" "Why not? His technique is perfect," Laura replied.

Not only that, but he had also set up a sign with bold, eye-catching letters-"Janice, I'm so sorry!"
People passing by couldn't resist stopping to look, whispering among seeming themselves. But But Simon seemed unaware. His eyes were fixed on the villa entrance as though he was afraid of missing Janice's car. Barbara's mind raced. Was he really trying to steal Janice back from Edward? Too impatient to wait, Barbara pulled out her phone and called Edward.
"Ed, we've got a problem," she said, her voice tight with urgency.
"What's going on?" Edward asked.
Barbara gritted her teeth. "Simon is standing outside your villa gate with a truckload of flowers. Looks like he's here to beg Janice for forgiveness.
