Madison sprinted upstairs and didn't stop until she was at the piano room's door. She watched as Sierra pounded the keys with her eyes closed, and she couldn't help but snarl, "Damn you, William." The music sounded different from Sierra's usual playstyle; it carried anguish and rage.

Sighing, Madison turned around. "Mr. Gray, go to work. I'll keep Sierra company. You can leave her to me." Theo looked at Sierra, who had her back to the sun. He was still worried about her, and he didn't leave until after Adrian's urgent call cin.

Madison gazed at his retreating figure and felt happy for Sierra.

"Sierra." She called out to her gently as she stepped into the piano room.

The slightly piercing note stretched out and echoed in the room as Sierra struck the key before stopping. Madison saw that Sierra kept her eyes closed. She stood next to her, looking heartbroken as she pulled Sierra into her arms.

"Cry as much as you want. I know you're overwhelmed. We'll think of something together." Tears slipped out of the corner of Sierra's eyes as she took in Madison's comforting words. "Maddy, he didn't just hit my mom this time. He didn't even spare Xavier, his favorite child! "The last tTheo and I went back home, I made a point to tell Xavier to look after Mom, but I didn't expect that..." Sierra trailed off. There were no words that could describe her current emotions as she felt both relieved and guilty.

Madison patted Sierra's shoulder, cajoling, "It's not your fault. It's William's. He's a heartless monster." Sierra held Madison's waist and cried uncontrollably, venting her overwhelming powerlessness and grievance.

Eventually, Madison noticed that Sierra had stopped crying, and she sat next to Sierra. "Mr. Gray didn't tellthe details when he gavea call. What on earth did William ask of you?" Through a sobbing voice, Sierra told Madison about the monetary gift. When she saw Madison's shock, she chuckled bitterly. "William actually used my mom and Xavier to threaten me, all for the sake of securing spersonal interests.

"He threatened his own daughter with the safety of his wife and son. How absurd is that?" she asked as tears slid down her cheeks.

The sight broke Madison's heart. Her eyes were red as she placed her hands on her hips and began harshly criticizing William. She didn't stop until her throat felt dry, and that was when she dragged Sierra downstairs.

She chugged a glass of water before she continued to console Sierra. "Don't punish yourself over someone else's mistake. More to the point, it's easy to settle this. Just ask Mr. Gray to deal with William, and the heartless monster will behave." Sierra shook her head. "I don't want William to latch onto Theo."

"Look at you. You're already protecting him," Madison said and scoffee em she om continued Solemnly, "Mr. Gray is more capable than you imagine. All he has to do is snap his finger, and William will be over." Sierra was stunned. She finally recalled how Theo was regarded in the world of business. No one in the industry dared cross him.

He had always been affectionate and gentle whenever he talked to hem Perhaps that was why she had forgotten how intimidating his demeanor used to feel.

Madison saw the look on Sierra's face, and she couldn't resist giggling. "You're the only one who has seen his softer side. Everyone else is afraid of him." Sierra blushed, protesting softly, "He's actually not that scary." "Yeah. Sure. He bought you a latte and carried you out of the movie theater. How scary could he be?" cMadison's teasing.

Sierra gave Madison a dirty look, but she felt infinitely better.
